PechaKucha Night Belfast
Belfast is an interesting city full of talented creative people with stories to tell. We are curious types — we want to hear these stories and meet these people, so we decided to host PechaKucha Night Belfast.
PechaKucha is an informal, quick-fire presentation format devised in Tokyo for architectural presentations (because apparently architects talk too much). Each speaker talks about 20 images for 20 seconds each. The images move on automatically, so there’s no backtracking, and nowhere to hide. Luckily, it's a lot of fun.
Our aim is to gather and connect people together from all sorts of disciplines – from Designers to Filmmakers, from Illustrators to Chocolate Makers. It makes for a fast-paced, sometimes messy, always interesting series of talks, and a diverse, sometimes messy, always interesting crowd. The most exciting part for us is seeing the sparks of collaboration as people get talking and ideas start mixing.
Here are our wonderful speakers from PechaKucha Night Belfast, November 2016.
